George Atanassov

George Atanassov is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis for SportPesa. George, who has worked at SportPesa for over seven years, leads on the day-to-day operational support for the business, from people to finance and commercial relationships.
As part of his role, through in-house development and partnerships with world-class suppliers, George works to ensure that SportPesa maintains cutting-edge, industry leading software that provides the best experience for SportPesa’s end customers. He is also committed to making SportPesa the best possible place of work for his teams.

George has a background in financial and executive management across a range of organisations in different industries and worked in audit and transaction advisory for EY for almost a decade. He has a BSc in Finance and Accounting from Concord University, West Virginia.

Outside of work, George likes spending time with his family, travelling, watching football and skiing during winter breaks.
