Bernard Chauro

Benard is the Head of Operations of SportPesa Kenya. As part of his role, Benard leads the day-to-day operations of the Kenyan business, with a focus on Marketing, Customer service, IT, Trading procurement, and logistics.

Benard, who has been with SportPesa since September 2014, leads a team tasked with reclaiming SportPesa’s spot as the number one betting company in Kenya by centring its customers, and community around everything that the brand does. Benard also leads the execution of strategies and formulation of localized approach around Sportpesa Key pillars such as sponsorships and community investment initiatives across Kenya and was heavily involved in the launch of Tujiamini, a grassroots sports and talent initiative run by SportPesa in Kenya.

Having been with SportPesa for 10 years, Benard has held multiple roles having originally joined as a financial accountant before transitioning to Internal Audit as a senior Auditor. He has a BSc economics and finance from Kenyatta University and is a certified Information System Auditor, which he obtained from Strathmore University.

Benard lives in Nairobi with his wife and two children. He is a big football fan, especially when it comes to his team, Arsenal. Outside of work, Benard enjoys driving and watching documentaries.
