SportPesa turns October pink to support for Breast Cancer Awareness month
This October, SportPesa is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month through its new campaign – “Wearing Pink. Raising Awareness. Making It Count.”
Throughout the month, SportPesa will harness the unifying power of football to shine a light on the fight against breast cancer, by transforming stadiums and social channels with pink branding.
SportPesa is embracing this symbol, encouraging fans and communities to unite in support of millions affected by breast cancer every year.
Football with a Purpose
SportPesa’s approach goes beyond the pitch, tapping into the passion and community spirit that makes football the world’s most beloved sport. By incorporating pink into Yanga’s home matches—through LED perimeter boards, special fan giveaways, and more—the campaign aims to turn every matchday into a statement of support and awareness.
Why This Matters
Commenting on the new campaign, Doreen Kwayu, Head of Operations for SportPesa Tanzania, said:
“Breast cancer touches not only those diagnosed, but also their families, friends, and wider communities. This campaign encourages early detection and underscores the importance of solidarity, proving that hope grows stronger when we stand together.”
Join the Movement: #SportPesaInPink
SportPesa is encouraging every supporter to participate in the #SportPesaInPink movement, whether at the stadium or from home. Fans are encouraged to add a touch of pink to their matchday outfit and share their support on social media using the campaign hashtag.
