SportPesa celebrates Yanga FC’s incredible performance during the 2024/25 premier league season

Tanzanian football club, Yanga FC, recently celebrated its fourth consecutive Tanzanian Premier League championship.

Sponsored by SportPesa, the country’s most successful club were crowned winners of the league for the 31^st time.

During a dominant 2024/25 season, Yanga FC won 27 of their 30 matches, scoring 83 goals and conceding just 10.

As part of the partnership with SportPesa, Young Africans Sports Club received a 262.5m TZS bonus for winning the league.

Commenting on the news, Doreen Kwayu, Head of Operations, SportPesa Tanzania, said:

“Yanga FC continues to dominate the Tanzanian premier league. We are honoured to be able to sponsor the country’s most successful club and play any small role in the Young Africans Sports Club success.

“SportPesa is committed to supporting teams across the region from the grassroots to the elite level.”

In recognition of the club’s exceptional 2024/25 campaign, SportPesa awarded a TZS 262.5 million bonus to Yanga as league champions.
