SportPesa launched the SportPesa DreamClub initiative, demonstrating our commitment to football development in South Africa.

In partnership with Cape Town City FC, the programme supported grassroots football by providing sponsorship and support to 100 amateur clubs across the Western Cape region.

By becoming headline sponsors, SportPesa helped local clubs access essential resources — such as kits, equipment, training support and operational funding — that many lacked. The initiative created opportunities for young players and coaches to play within organised structures and developed pathways for progress both on and off the pitch.

Working alongside Cape Town City FC brought added visibility and credibility, inspiring local talent while encouraging community involvement in sport.

The DreamClub initiative was designed not only to elevate amateur football but also to strengthen neighbourhood bonds and create safer, more inclusive sporting environments.

Through this targeted investment, SportPesa reaffirmed the role football can play across Africa in community building, youth development, and long-term social impact.
