SportPesa recognised by the Kenya Revenue Authority as a top taxpayer for three consecutive years.

In 2016, 2017 and 2018, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) recognised SportPesa as one of the top taxpayers in the country.

At the time of the award, KRA representatives said at SportPesa’s offices that it wanted “to thank and appreciate” SportPesa for the role it “plays in the economy”.

The medium tax category has nearly 4,000 organisations, and only 10 award winners. SportPesa was one of 10 companies recognised as a top taxpayer.

Commenting on the recognition in 2019, Ronald Karauri, Chief Executive of SportPesa, said:

“We are delighted to receive this recognition for the third consecutive time, given that we are only four years old yet we have managed to make a positive contribution to the economy.”
