SportPesa made a substantial investment in grassroots football in Kenya through a partnership with Extreme Sports Limited. This was SportPesa’s largest commitment to date to developing grassroots football in the country.

Extreme Sports is a leading social enterprise championing youth development in Kenya. Through its innovative sports initiatives — most notably the Super 8 League — it has helped to transform football into a platform for community growth, mentorship and opportunity.

Together with Extreme Sports, we worked to strengthen local football structures, support community teams and create opportunities for young players across Kenya.

The partnership provided funding, equipment, training and organisational support to help nurture emerging talent and make football more accessible in deprived areas.

This partnership was part of our broader efforts to invest in grassroots infrastructure and drive sports development across Africa. Through partnerships like this, SportPesa has promoted inclusivity, youth empowerment, and long-term progress in the sports sector.
