The 2025 Varsity Football has begun, bringing together some of South Africa’s rising football stars to showcase their skills and play in the country’s largest university football tournament.
This is the first year of a three-year partnership with SportPesa as its official Online Betting Partner.
To help bring SportPesa customers and Varsity Football fans closer to the action, SportPesa has expanded its game Goal Rush – SportPesa’s free-to-play football prediction game that rewards fans for calling the first goal of selected fixtures – to include Varsity Football.
To help celebrate incredible football talent on the pitch, SportPesa has also created the Goal Rush Award, where players – including goalkeepers – are rewarded for match-defining moments, receiving cash prizes and the recognition they deserve.
