SportPesa expands investment in National 7s Circuit
SportPesa has more than doubled its sponsorship of the National Sevens Circuit (NSC) to KSh 34.14 million, marking the fourth consecutive year of support for one of Kenya’s most important rugby competitions.
The additional investment – up from the KSh 15 million invested last season – will strengthen the SportPesa National 7s Circuit across all levels of the game, supporting host clubs, tournament operations, prize money and fan engagement. It also builds on SportPesa’s continued backing of Kenyan rugby, including its support for the national sevens team, Shujaa, and wider grassroots initiatives.

The National Sevens Circuit plays a critical role in developing future stars of Kenyan rugby, providing a platform for emerging talent to compete, gain exposure, and progress to the international stage. Many players who have featured in global competitions, including the Olympic Games, have come through this pathway.
With increased funding allocated to competition delivery, content production and matchday experiences, this year’s circuit is also set to reach wider audiences and deepen fan engagement, further elevating the profile of rugby across Kenya.
This sponsorship reflects SportPesa’s broader commitment to investing in African sport and supporting athletes at every level of the game. The focus is on creating opportunities for talent to develop, compete and succeed on larger stages.
Through its rugby partnerships, SportPesa continues to support both elite performance and grassroots development – from national team backing to investment in local competitions that form the foundation of the sport.
This is the SportPesa Effect in action – strengthening communities, inspiring the next generation of athletes and helping to build a sustainable future for sport in Kenya.
